I, Renee Hochstetler, started Imago, Inc. because I love to collaborate, plan, and write. Imago, Inc. is a one-person shop, and that's because I value close, collaborative relationships with my clients.
Having worked in the Web development field for more than six years in various roles, I felt a call to return to information organization and content planning. My most recent experience is in writing for the Web - which is strikingly distinct from writing for print or other media - and I have experience in journalism and other types of writing as well.
The word "imago" encompasses the notion of transformation; imago is another term for a mature adult butterfly, a being that is ready to soar after undergoing an intense, form-altering process of metamorphosis. I've experienced my own type of metamorphosis and self-discovery and have arrived at a point where sharing what I've learned and applying it to my love of collaborative creativity is enormously important to me.
My Vision
I believe that everyone, individuals and organizations alike, has a story to tell. I love hearing those stories, learning about others, and helping the tellers share their experiences. I believe that when stories are shared a mutual respect develops between teller and listener, which strengthens relationships and presents alternative perspectives on life’s journey.
My Mission
Using my investigation, collaboration, and writing skills I explore needs and distill information to assist businesses and nonprofit organizations with developing and implementing content strategies and messaging to better communicate their products, services, and brands.
